Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs!

It was Sylvia’s (LG) 19th Birthday last Monday (1.11.09)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ^_^ I made her a card and baked her some Chocolate cupcakes. We had no water for a day but i was still determined to bake. I didn’t have enough water to bath the next day.

Over estimated the power of the rising of the cake. At least I like how it looks.

The simplicity of it all.

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Went all the way to 1U to watch it. I loved the movie! I wished it rained food everyday. My tummy was growling throughout the whole movie. It was hilarious, touching and wacky at the same time.

What i wore that day. Went to Cotton On while waiting for him.

Accompanied Amanda on Thursday. Drove all the way to Sunway. I never used to like going to Sunway. But they’ve improved a whole lot. Tonnes of shops and eateries.

Lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I love my Dad!

Baked another round of butter cake. I had 1/4 of the whole tray. And a church friend baked some really yummilicious chocolate cake that taste better than the one in Delicious. Cake overload. I think i’ll have to lay off cake for at least 2 weeks.

Kevin’s Chicken Bolognese. This was at the Spaghetti Farm. A newly opened affordable eatery at Mid Valley. I was deciding between this place and Yoshinoya. I soon realized that it took over Yoshinoya’s lot. Well, it made the decision making process a whole lot easier.

My shrooms pasta. They ran out of the cream sauce so they gave me the bolognese sauce instead. This is the place to go to for cheap, mediocre quality pasta.

The set comes with soup and drink for only Rm12. Tomato Soup.

Fries were a tad bit soggy though. Ice cream cone afterwards. Mmmmm. =)

Found a lump towards the left of my abdomen. Went to GH last week. They did a urine test. Found that i had an infection which is unrelated to the lump. Getting treatment for that. I was scheduled for a ultrasound in January 2010. This is what you get for free treatment. Decided to go private. Will be seeing Dr Wong this coming Wednesday.

They also did a pregnancy test. I laughed at the thought of it.

It came back negative.

FREE…DOM!

Finals are over! College finals/trials that is.

I just realized that THAT was my LAST time sitting for any exam in MCKL! Oh, how time flies. I forgot to dwell in the moment. I still remember my first day at college! 1.5 years gone with a blink of an eye.

I had insomnia the past 2 nights. I was too excited! Every little thing excites me. From the clothes i plan to wear, to the food i want to eat, to the things that i’ll eventually do….. So i was too busy planning what to do AFTER the exams. I was dead tired on Saturday night, but i just couldn’t seem to fall asleep. I slept, my brains didn’t. By Sunday, my brains were SCREAMING for help. I too, was screaming for help. I fell into a slight state of depression. I was in need of sleep. I couldn’t remember anything i studied the day before. =S. To make things WORST, the dog kept barking and my brother kept screaming, i was THIS close to becoming insane. I cried in frustration. I lay on my bed. Thinking of what to do next. I took out my phone to read a few verses from the Bible. It calmed me down almost immediately. Never doubt the power of God. The rest of the day spelled PEACE. =D

Yay! I feel FREE!

My mom is currently away. This means we get to eat JUNK FOOD for dinner. =). Went to Chili’s last Saturday with my dad and Kevin. The brother was too busy playing with Paul and didn’t want to have dinner with us.

We went to Chili’s early to get a table. We were there at 7 and the queue was still bearable. This place has got people coming in at ALL hours of the day. Theres ALWAYS a queue. I think they’ve got money coming out of their eyeballs!

Decisions decisions.

Southwestern Cobb Salad. I love the crispy battered fried chicken on the top with sour cream and bacon! Mmmm!

Fajitas! I was craving for these! Not so much of the fillings but the tortilla bread! And the onions. I’m a sucker for garlic and onions!

After dinner. We refilled the tortilla bread 3 times. Warm tortilla bread. Oh so good.

We sat for quite a while after dinner. Chilling and watching football, ignorant of the ever growing queue just right behind us.

We decided to leave at 9pm. People were STILL queuing at 9!

We headed to the supermarket to buy a whole box of milk. We then ended the night with GELATO! I didn’t take a picture cause it would look like every other picture i’ve taken. I only eat the same 2 flavors. I resist change. ^_______^

See that voucher? Its a Rm 169 Crocs gift voucher. Both Kevin and I got it as a PRIZE for being the top-5 fastest climbers of the day at the Adventure Show Asia 2009 held in Mid Valley a few weeks back.

I’ve NEVER been into a Crocs store before i got the voucher. We’re not into Crocs and without a voucher, I wouldn’t buy ANYTHING from there. Seriously, everybody is walking around in Crocs! Its CRAZY! They recently launched their new design and they’re all SOLD OUT! Can you believe it?!

I settled for this pair. The corduroy range. Well basically i didn’t have a choice cause this was the LAST pair in my size and the rest were all sold out. I got this pair in Ikano power centre.

I actually prefer the lime green ones in Mid Valley but they don’t have it in my size. T_T. Shopping there is pretty easy. Cause you’re not shopping for design, you’re shopping for SIZE!

They’re not cheap! Rm209. Paid extra Rm40. I wouldn’t buy something like that for that price without a voucher. Ridiculous. Ok, maybe not. For one, its REALLY comfortable. It doesn’t give you blisters. Plus points there lahh. As for Kevin, he hasn’t made up his mind on what to get yet.

The Aldo flats i got a few months back. I love em! They’re so comfy and just so nice to look at. I like the folds and the ribbon like thing in front. <3!

I don’t understand the craze over these Coca-Cola glasses so i went and got myself one for the sake of it. HAHA! I ordered the LARGE Big Mac set. Everything seemed EXTRA LARGE. I haven’t had a large meal at McD in a very long time! On top of that i had the Chocolate Sundae. Mmmm. So good. ^_^

Its that time of the year again! EXAMS EXAMS EXAMS!!!!

Honestly, this time round, i didn’t feel the pressure AT ALL!

I’ve been way too relaxed. To the point where i find myself asking myself if this is normal. If i’m normal. Am i normal?

24 hours a day is TOO MUCH! I’m just waiting for time to pass so that i can just go and sit for the paper and get it over with. I’ve been sleeping at 10 smth every night. Something that i NEVER do. Usually its last minute cramming till at least 1am.

WHAT IS THIS! WHAT IS THIS! T___________T.

Will i do badly this time? I don’t know.

And for some odd reason, i don’t really care as much. HA-HA.

Die lor. I shall attempt to be normal and try to study. Toodles!

Oh by the way, i have 2 more papers left on Monday! THEN I’M FREE! WEE!

Decided to make butter cake last weekend. I halved the batter and added chocolate to make an extra tray of marble cake!

Mmmmmm! Both trays of cake didn’t make it till the next day! My brother is such a pig.

On a side note,

my dog, dippy, died 2 weeks ago.

Everything feels different.

Catch it.

Its all happening too fast. Everything is in shades of grey and white and messed up black lines all over. I want to grasp time. I want to live in THIS moment. I don’t want anything to move or change. It just feels as though I’m going along with the flow. Not living in the moment, just merely swimming with time. Not discovering anything new.

Everything is so mundane. Life is at a standstill. The growing curve has reached a plateau for now. The final semester exams are just around the corner. I still feel relaxed. Awfully relaxed. I’m not too sure what that means. It can only be the two extremes. Prepared or totally unprepared. I’m definitely no where near prepared yet. GAH! I DEMAND FOR A HOLIDAY RIGHT NOW!

I shall excite you people with pictures now. I’ll sort out my life soon enough. Sigh.

This was a complimentary dinner for 2 at The Pub, Shangri-La. The voucher expires on the 30th of Sept and we have been planning to go since a few months ago. Every time we set a date something would come up. We ended up going on the 30th itself! XD Apparently everyone else had the same thing in mind so the place was packed!

My grilled salmon with vege and mash. Grilled to perfection! So delicious! The mash was good too. Soft and flavorful! Every time i say flavor i can’t help but think of Flavr- Sarv tomatoes and laugh to myself. HAHAHA!

Kevin’s tenderloin steak. The meat was succulent and tender. Equally good.

Dessert. I didn’t like it. It was some pandan layered cake. What a way to end the wonderful meal! XD

Ikea’s soft serve! MMMMm!

This is Jln Alor’s FAMOUS curry mee and assam laksa! REALLY good. We are true loyal fans. They would “chap-lap” without people like us. XD We’ve been wanting to eat this for quite some time but every time we go there, they’re either sold out or closed.-____-. This was our fifth try and we were finally able to sink our teeth and taste buds into this! Really a MUST try!

So So So So So So GOOOOOOOOOOD. =D

I baked mushroom quiche for dinner!

Pasta for one of the other days. XD. Angel hair pasta with garlic, sausages, red peppers and olive oil. Yums!

Malacca!

We finally managed to make a trip to Malacca! The land filled with historic backgrounds and where it all “started”. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT IT WAS MY FIRST TIME THERE! I cannot believe it myself because Malacca seems to be one of those MUST go places. Its like saying you’ve never been to KL!

We had an awesome journey there! Filled with long talks and laughter. A lil too much cause we MISSED the exit to Malacca and drove all the way to Pagoh. -____________-!! We were supposed to exit at Ayer Keroh, i think. When we passed by the HUGE rest stop, I even said that that was my favourite rest stop. -_________-!! Cost us an extra Rm14. XD.

So we reached Malacca at close to 12. Now we all know that Malacca is famous for their various Nyonya foods, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking. =)

We were genuine tourists! We got a map and found Ban Lee Hiang! The famous satay celup place! It took us about 20 mins or MORE just to get there. We knew what road it was on but it was a very long road! We just walked and looked at every restaurant sign we passed by. We reached at about 5 as we didn’t want to fight for our food. We were their second customers!

We then took another way back. Many small narrow roads through houses and more buildings. We finally made it back to Jonker Street! Just in time for the night market. =)

One of the best egg tarts I’ve tasted! I doubted it at first cause it didn’t stimulate my taste buds by looking at it. So i only bought one! REGRET!

Sunday (Back in KL)

The ice cream that costs us Rm2 in Malacca. This pic was taken in my own home. Yes, my dad buys boxes of cheap ice cream(5-6 boxes, I’m not kidding) along with bags and bags of cones so i can actually eat this for free in my own home yet i paid Rm 2 for the same thing! I guess the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side.

Bought Kaya puff and egg tarts in Mid Valley. Was there with my family. It didn’t taste as nice as the one in Malacca. T_T

Went to the Bangsar Psr Mlm with dad at night. I absolutely love this fried kuih thing! <3

Climb Climb Climb.

WEE!! Kevin came early in the morning and we were off to our usual climbing adventure at Camp-5. We spent the entire day climbing! Well, me at least, halfway through Kevin went into the men’s toilet to sleep. -______-.

The place was PACKED! From small kids, to kids, to bigger kids, to teens, to parents, to EVERYBODY! I even met Steven there. Not at Camp-5, at 1U. XD. I was hoping everybody would be long gone for the Raya Holidays. I don’t like having to wait for my turn to climb. There were many on-going climbing courses too so some of the areas were ward off. Boohoo.

After about 4 hours of climbing, we decided to grab some snacks. Bought the Rm 4 best durian ice cream! Months ago it said special promotion at Rm 4. It didn’t change. Must be some marketing gimmick! Went into Jusco. Bought Mister Potato, Cheezels and Prune Juice. And i got to eat yummy ROTI BOY! The aroma of freshly baked roti boy is heaven!

Wanted to have dinner at Murni’s but they were closed for Raya. T_T. We had banana leaf rice at Nirwana instead! McD’s ice cream after that. Mmmmm!
