Blessed Christmas!

27 12 2009

Christmas this year was more quiet and subtle. The crowd was minimal. The gifts were not as abundant but definitely SWEET! (literally!)

But I’m contented and i’m not complaining. Who needs all the BIG HOO-HAA parties and gifts when you have your family and friends beside you.

And of course Christmas is a gentle reminder that our Saviour was born. =) That is Ultimately what Christmas IS all about!

This was how i celebrated my Christmas. So typical. Its more of a tradition already.

The Christmas Eve dinner:

FOOD! Beef, Lamb, Pork ribs, Mackerel (AWESOME!), Tiger Prawns, Chicken, Sausages, Garlic Bread, Salad and Potato Salad (THE BEST!). It was so good. =D

And of course desserts after dinner! These were from Just Heavenly. =) The Cheese Cake was the BEST! Then there was the opening of the gifts before 12. =)

Christmas Day : Church Service in the morning-hang out etc-YF Christmas Event. This cycle repeats itself every year. =D

Christmas Service.

I actually spent the eve of Christmas running around with Kah Hean just to get all the food for the YF Christmas BBQ the following day. Went to Lee’s Frozen and Tesco. We also marinated all the meat with a LIL help from Kevin. LOL. I then rushed home to bake Chocolate Chip cookies to give away as pressies. Woke up early the next morning to bag them into paper bags. Also made sandwiches for tea in church. Unfortunately, the cookies went soft by noon. T_T. They’re meant to be CRUNCHY !

The Evil Twins sorting the gifts!

Beautiful flowers!

<3

With Eeling and Poh Choy. =)

The (‘oo’).

Iris, Jes, Me! I like the tree behind us!

Love the colours and the background of this picture! <3

The rest of the day was spent with the JIC-ians. Running around preparing the food and washing up later at night.

Thanks for the gifts peeps! =D

Typical Christmas Day Indeed.

Went to Putrajaya last Saturday to check out the New Putrajaya Challenge Park! They opened a new Climbing Gym so Kevin and I decided to check out the walls there.

Admission is currently free till their grand opening in January. Extra plus points! Putrajaya is huge so it took us quite a while to locate the place.

The building which housed the climbing walls was massive! Its a building on its own. The architecture was unique and everything just seemed so fresh and new. For now that is. Just hope that they keep this place in good condition for the years ahead.

Pictures! WEE!

Good stuff. =D Better than the ones i brought back from NZ.

Silly pig with the sign.

Thumbs up to this place! As you can see from the mini black icons below the green map, there is a look out tower, plaza, Climbing Complex, Skate Complex and a Bike Park. Malaysia is finally developing. *wipes tears* I’ve always wished they had places like these! WOOT!

The entrance.

This is only part of it. Just look at those overhangs.

Lead wall. Just like camp-5 except BIGGER and more colourful.

First wall i tried.

I look so tall here! WEE!

Dying after a few walls.

Alive and happy!

Climbing Gear.

The very cool, featureless wall. =D

Poser!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. =D

Taking a break.

Snack break. I love my orange harness! Best Christmas present ever! Thanks to my (‘oo’). =D

There was a good crowd that day. =)

Me and the HUGE A** walls behind me. The lower walls are the boulder walls. Didn’t get to try those though.

He is weird that way. No idea what was he trying to do. -__________-!!

The place at night! Doesn’t look like a Climbing Gym eh?

Just a few minutes down the road is the Skate complex! They had a BMX trail too.

Climbed close to 20 walls. The sudden rush of adrenaline and blood pumping everywhere is too much for me to handle. Very exhilarating indeed!

I’m loving this place! <3

Definitely going back for more!

Jakun indeed.

Highlight of the week : Shopping with my darling friends!

Went to Time Square yesterday. Honestly, I’ve NEVER really been to Time Square nor have i had the slightest thought of even shopping there. Yesterday changed everything! ALL I CAN SAY IS : OMG OMG OMG!!

Shopping mates: Iris and Amanda.

So Amanda was our tour guide because Iris was just as jakun as i was. So she brought us to all the cheap and most importantly non-lala shops. Here are the pictures!

Parked in Church to save money. Mwahaha! =D. This was us while waiting for Iris to arrive. She took a wrong turn and got stuck in a massive jam. -_-. GILLIAN! Do you see yourself in my necklace?! =D Missing you!

Decided to walk over to Pavilion first while waiting for Iris. Went Parkson to get some stuff and played with beauty products! <3

Iris finally arrived! I love the Christmas Decorations! So much better than last year where they had this huge horrible tree at the entrance. XD Love the lighting of this picture too! <3

We were already rushing because Iris was late, haven’t eaten lunch and we needed all the time we could get for shopping! Yet, we still found time to go to the toilet for the sole purpose of TAKING PICTURES! YES YOU HEARD ME! Non of us used the bathroom. XD

Iris wore heels. T_T Twin Towers with the connecting bridge?

Blehhh.

QUACK!

<3

Cute sign on the way to Time Square.

First up was lunch at Sushi King. =D

I hate EDAMAME. YUCK! Oklah, hate is such a strong word. Dislike maybe?

Then it was time to shop shop shop! One of the few shops that allowed us to try their clothes. I was trying that pair of shorts for size. It was SO hard to find shorts my size. T_T.

I bought this dress/skirt for Rm 22.90! =D I bought that belt at another store for Rm10. WEE! Cheap stuffs DO exist. =D

Went to Kindori to chill before continuing! I was still searching high and low for my SHORTS! Carrying bags and bags of stuff and walking around was really fun.

So in the end i went home with :

Dress/skirt

2 Belts

A bag

Shorts

ALL for Rm 80! STEAL! I don’t think I’ve ever felt this good after shopping before! I’m in a current state of euphoria. Still trying to digest everything. RETAIL THERAPY ROCKS! WEE! Thanks so much girls! Love Ya’ll.

Some other random points:

-I just had a whole bag of Smith BBQ ribs Crisps and a whole bag of chicken biscuits! SO YUMMY! Along with other chocolate junk. Tim Tams, snickerdoodles and the works. <3

-My family is back from Aussie land! Which explains the junk food. They got me Roxy Board shorts and a Turtle USB hub from Smiggle! <3

- Collected my forecast results today. I didn’t know i got Straight As! Time to apply for Medicine, Pharmacy etc etc! =D

The day just got better. =D

Thanking The One high up in the sky. =)

In the mood.

15 12 2009

I can’t tell for sure if i’m truly enjoying the holidays! I have been going out/hanging out quite a bit but the thought of EXAMS just lingers in my head 24/7. ><. Urgh! I hate it when exams are AFTER major holidays! When you want to have fun, you feel guilty, when you study, you feel pathetic. How lah you tell me?!

I’m missing out on all the fun. =(. Turning down invitations etc. ><

Oh well, here are pictures from Saturday! =D

Went to The Curve to check out their Christmas Decorations!

This was in Ikano Power Centre. Went to the Pet store first! =D

At the Curve. Their theme was more magical and fairy tale-ish. I like their HUGE Christmas tress and the overall colour theme. =) Classic!

At foreskin. Clearance sale! 5 earrings for Rm 10!

It was already 8-ish and we couldn’t decide what to eat. Nearly settled for Italiannies but we’ve been there many times so we decided to continue scouting for eateries! Then, IKEA came to mind! WEE! I like the whole Ikea concept. The cute trolleys, setting, self-service, focused menu, affordable prices and really just every little detail they put into everything.

MEATBALLS! I really miss their Swedish Meatballs although they are a lot smaller in size now.

Served with yummy fries.

Grilled Salmon with pickled vegetables and potato!<3

WEE!

Attacking the meatballs!

They were so good.

Hungry yet?

Multitasking.

13 12 2009

I really love Jusco Meals. They are not all that tasty but they sure are cheap!

Gotta love 40% off after certain hours.

Frying eggs with Onions. =D

Making the tuna.

It cracked.

Last picture before it falls apart.

Big Mac, Large Fries, Large Coke and a Chocolate Sundae. All in vain now.

It wasn’t worth the big hoo-ha afterall.

It tastes better here.

Still good. 2 Boxes left. LCMs are still alive!

Springfield. <3

I like how i’m blurred.

Nutella. Too expensive to eat it here.

Secret stash. ; )

Sugar Cookies and Maggi Goreng with fried egg simultaneously.

Trust me. It ain’t easy. =D

Fried Egg with Cheese.

Sugar cookies! =D

You know who you are, the lucky ones that got a chance to taste em’! ^_*

DING!

Loving the holidays.

Of Birthdays.

10 12 2009

I recently celebrated 2 of my closest friend’s birthday! One on the 26th of November and the other on the 3rd of December. =D

Those 2 dates mark the special birth of 2 young, talented…… Oh no wait, Its just JOANNE LEE and TAN SU WAN. LOL.

Ok seriously, these 2 people are very dear to me and have, in one way or another, i don’t know how, but somehow, shaped me to who i am today. =D

So a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the both of you!! =) This will be a picture-fied post! We all love pictures, don’t we?

All ready for the night! For Joanne’s Birthday, we celebrated at Chili’s! Along with her parents, Uncle and Aunt and Joo Ling. =D

Before leaving the house. We actually walked to Mid Valley as her parents left without us. =(

Decided to stay longer to take pictures. Thats the cake i baked for her! <3 She was on the phone with Joo Ling to warn her about the massive jam towards Mid Valley.

There were many birthdays that night and the Chili’s Crew couldn’t stop caroling around. Unfortunately, they didn’t sing for Joanne! Humpf! Fear not! For we have better voices. =D

Chocolate Brownie topped with ice cream on the house!

Ordered a huge jug of margarita to share. Just for the sake of doing something at 19.

Went back to Joanne’s house after dinner because we couldn’t decide where else to go. So we chilled and took more photos! Those super cute pencils are from Smiggle! Too bad they don’t have a store in Msia.

“Ban” Cute pose. WEE!

Joanne Lee! Stop doing the same thing! Time to look surprised/shocked/OMG-ness. XD

Random pose. XD

For Swan’s Birthday, we went to Dome, Pavilion on Friday. One day after her birthday! Went for my IELTS speaking exam that morning. I was then in church the entire afternoon hanging around and coordinating the games for VBS. I missed the chance to meet up with Swan earlier at Sheraton where they will be crashing for the night. I wasn’t able to sleepover too as i had to sit for my IELTS exam the next day. Boohoo. I had loads of fun nonetheless! =D

The Birthday girl. I absolutely love the lighting in Dome.

Andrea. Swan. Me.

Oh yes!

Pictures of some of the food we ordered. We each picked something from the menu and everything was shared. This seafood pasta was delicious! Very creamy. Good choice Swan!

Very Chocolate Chocolate Brownie with Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice cream. Sinful.

Catch of the day! I liked this dish simply because the sauce had a lot of different spices in it and it went so well with the fish and rice!

Obligatory toilet shots.

Pictures with the Christmas Decorations outside Pavilion. I cannot believe Christmas is JUST around the corner!

Group Pic!

WEE!

Weekend!

9 12 2009

I love the holidays! How i wish that it wouldn’t come to an end. December is going by so quickly! So many things have happened in just 2 weeks!

Saturday Night was dinner with the family. =) Delicious! My favourite pasta! Duck Confit. <3

Tried their chicken pie and it was GOOD! The pastry was thick and crispy. I love pastries so, to me, the pastry is far more important than the fillings!

Random Sunday shots.

His many silly faces.

Took Joanne out for Lok Lok at night in Bangsar! =) Her first since coming back. WEE!

Lok Lok Fun. We were taking so many pics that i think the lok lok man really thought that we were foreigners and started talking to us in ENGLISH. XD

My Favourite 3. I LOVE the seafood tofu!!!!

Acting all touristy!

Satay and Lemon Jelly Drink. =)

One of the yummiest popiah’s i’ve tasted! It was burning hot as it was made fresh! Joanne Lee made me stop chewing for this kodak moment. LOL

ATTACK THE APOM!!

Zara fitting room. Hmm. They’re usually quite strict when it comes to having more than 1 person in a fitting room. XD

While waiting for Joanne to change. -_-. Shopping for formal wear in G2000. Oh and i bought new gold-ish gladiator flats from Charles and Keith! <3

Monday afternoon while waiting for Joo Ling.

Teh Joo Ling! Giving birth to babies ah?! LOL

Thanks Joo for insisting on buying the UMBRA juice! Very refreshing indeed!

I heart you people!
