So, UNI life has officially begun once again. I’m doing BTH 2741, MIC 2011, PHY 2021 and SCI 2010. VERY mehhhh subjects. As of now, classes are pretty hectic and workload is piling up as usual. WHY LAH MONASH! >< Having said that, I kinda enjoy the workload sometimes. It takes my mind off certain things. I think I’ve changed a lot during the summer holidays in terms of my perspective on certain things. Well, all i can say is that good and bad things happen for a reason and sometimes some things in life deserve a second chance. We’ll see how that turns out! =D

I’m so overwhelmed right now because i don’t know where to begin! All my lovely darlings are once again FAR FAR away from me. =(. Except for Gillian Chow that is. LOL. Have been spending a lot of time with her. Shopping, makans…etc… And she made my birthday a BLAST! Which will be left for another post. =P. I have to stay FOCUS! Too many outings and shopping trips already. >< Uni work is piling up and my meet ups with Gillian have been decreasing although we’re in the SAME uni! Life goes on.

I’m pretty happy and satisfied with my life right now. I’ve been sleeping really well for 2 weeks straight WITHOUT any signs of insomnia. =D! Woots woots! I think i’ve learned to take things a step at a time. 1, 2, 3! =) It makes life so much more enjoyable. =D.

My mom went to do her hair leaving Gil and i at the cafe. We were full but our stomachs got the best of us. We ordered ANOTHER cake and a bowl of soup.

Ok, my Saturday was pretty epic! At 12am, I msged Joo to ask if she wanted to tag along to pick Joanne from the airport. I didn’t know what time Joanne was arriving and at that hour, we couldn’t contact her Mom. I remembered from somewhere that it was 630am. Told Joo to come at 5am. I also sent a msg to Joanne’s mom. I didn’t really sleep at all just in case i overslept. At 6 something, still no sign of any msg or call. Then i called Joo. SHE FELL ASLEEP! HAHAHAHA!

She finally arrived at 7am and the both of us super muka tebal and went to Joanne’s hse even after her mom replied and said that the car wld be full already. Due to some complications/miscommunication etc Joanne and family took a cab home. So Joo and I, zombiefied, read mags to pass time. Our surprise nearly failed though! >< But it was all good in the end! Joanne was so super BLUR! WOOTS!

Went for breakfast with her whole family. Was at her house the whole day. Went to Bangsar to pick up some stuff and met my family there. Went over to Mid Valley. Ate junk food etc, shopped, bought stuffs.

Met up with Iris and Amanda at Plan B. Really nice, quaint place to hang out. =). Warm and cozy! Its actually by Delicious. They’re under the same management, just as i suspected. Similar menu, waiters and waitresses. I passed by the other day and the people working there recognize me from being a regular at Delicious. LOL. Food is more affordable at Plan B. More for the younger crowd. RAW AND RUSTIC. =D Another great concept.

My huge-ass chicken pie! Rm15. Its enough for 2 small eaters. Just nice for me. =D. IT WAS STUFFED WITH CHICKEN. A LOT OF CHICKEN.

Amanda’s Salmon Sandwich and Iris’s Cream Sauce pasta. I helped Iris finish off the rest of her pasta and it was GOOD! I think i prefer this to the one in Delicious!

Walked around BV 1 and 2 before stopping by at Bisou for cakes! They wanted to leave already but i was craving for cake! My piece of orange poppy seed cake with cream cheese! Mmmmm!

My parents’ 32nd Anniversary!

I planned everything. A SURPRISE indeed. Dinner for 2 at Prime, Le Meridien. Went to check out the restaurant with Kevin the night before and pre-ordered the food. Went to pay on the day itself. =). I gave them the card shown above so that it can be placed on the dinner table.

Everything went well. My brother and I dressed up to make it look like we were all going for a family dinner. Dropped them off at Le Meridien and told them it was dinner for 2. LOL! They were SHOCKED. My dad didn’t want to get out of the car. I had to sms my sis to call them from Aust to let them know that it was our plan and to just go with it and enjoy each other. =D.

According to my mom, my dad was still in a state of shock and was disorientated for the first few mins into the dinner.

My bro and i went home to have our dinner. SAD! Fish curry and cabbage soup.

We went back there for surprise round 2 with flowers! =D

Had desserts there too. =)

Visited my sick grandma after that.

I cleared out her stash of EXPIRED food stuffs. OMG. SCARY! She keeps food from 3 years ago. Oh, i also consumed the whole loaf of red bean bread and the rest of her biscuits that were not expired. LOL!

Did a bit of shopping with mom before dinner at Friday’s. My fish and chips! Yummeh. =D

Helped out at Monash’s Open day! It was so much fun! I love meeting new people. =)

The people came to catch a small snake found at Monash. This huge-ass snake was at the back of the trunk.

Thought it was popiah. Turned out to be nin-gou combined with sweet potato and yam. LOL! I had 4 pieces. XD I wouldn’t normally choose to eat these things.

I had the whole box. LOL! This picture was actually taken after i ate the kaya puff and 3 other paos. Also had my stadium popiah fix!

Throughout the week i also consumed a whole TIN of assorted biscuits. I’m a sucker for biscuits and breads! RAWR!

Time for me to rest my stomach? Maybe! Maybe not! =D Till next time. ( That is if i survive =P)

Phew! Last week was rather hectic, in a good way of course. Holidays have been great so far! Definitely well spent with so many different people!

Even if i’m not out and about, staying at home is pure bliss! All the time in the world to myself. Just tv, coffee, magazines, me, myself and i.=D

Oh and I finally finished cleaning my room! Although it still does look like its in a mess but at least its an organized mess(yes, there is such a thing) and of course, DUST FREE! Woots!

Helped out in VBS 2010. I initially signed up for kitchen duties cause you’d need a lot of patience working directly with kids. Apparently they had enough helpers in the kitchen and i was automatically assigned to assist Aunty PuiPui in her Std 1 & 2 class(which includes my brother!). I thought, OMG, deadmeat.com.

Honestly, it wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be. I actually truly enjoyed every minute of it! Just being with them, eating, playing, doing craft work, games, discussion groups etc made me feel young again! I love spending time with kids. I love how simple yet paradoxically complicated and imaginative their minds are. Kids really do say the darndest things! And they never fail to make me laugh or leave me speechless. =D

I love their enthusiasm and energy! Oh man, just running around with them in the morning for 3 days was more than enough for me. =D.

Oh and as you can see, the theme this year was Japanese. The decorations were awesome! And of course, we had loads of Japanese snacks to snack on. =P NOMS!

I’ve been sleeping so much lately its not even funny. I guess I’m replacing all those sleepless nights that I’ve been having although everyone knows that sleep cannot be replaced. I feel so drained and tired especially after the Malacca trip (more on that later!). All I want to do is chill at home, watch some tv, drink some coffee, online… Pure Bliss!

Tuesday- Met up with Gillian again. <3. Fetched them(Gillian + Crystal) from the station. Went to Mid Valley to shop! Had my popiah fix while Gillian had her kaya balls. Gillian is such a lousy shopper now. She was complaining that she was tired after the first hour. LOL!! Bought some snacks from Shojikiya and headed over to Starbucks for coffee. =). I needed coffee cause i was practically up the whole night. Felt like my brains and body were floating.

Thursday- Went to the bank with Dad. Opened a new account! Woots! I will be handling my own money from now on. Got a debit card too. Oh and I can also SHOP ONLINE! I already see myself getting poorer by the minute. =P. Had my popiah again whilst waiting for my turn at the bank! WEE! Went for late lunch with the family at a nearby coffee shop. Spent the afternoon in front of the tv eating mamee, pretzels and popcorn. Junk fest!

Went out for dinner at Mid Valley. Had my yummy double gelato waffle cone after that! They go by weight now. So its MORE expensive cause its hard to estimate how much to put on a cone. ><. Went to Dragon-i after for MORE desserts. YUMS! Mango and black jelly with coconut milk and tong yuen! =D

Went grocery shopping! Bought some junk. Went home.

I finished the whole bottle of pretzels and THE WHOLE FREAKING LOAF OF POTATO BREAD whilst watching tv. BAD IDEA! I had major indigestion + stomach ache + diarrhoea. URGH! Kept me up the whole night.

But i was feeling hungry when i ate the whole loaf. T______________T!! 9 pieces was a bit too much though. =P

Plus the junk i had earlier in the afternoon. I guess my poor tummy was crying for help. =(

Went to Shivz Grill along Jln Telawi, Bangsar. Never noticed this restaurant/bar before! They serve Northern Indian + Western.

Papadom with green mint chutney! The mint was strong and spicy. Loved it! The papadom was thin, fresh and crispy!

Lamb Kebab with Naan! The lamb was yummy and slightly spicy! The taste was just so unique and full of flavour.

I felt that the Dhal was a tad bland but my parents loved it. Hmmm.

Fish Tikka with Naan. Another YUMMY dish! This was my favourite that night. The spices they used to marinate the fish was just so orgasmic! They’re really good with their spices! I walloped more than half of this dish. =D

Ah! Palak Paneer! Spinach with paneer cheese is a must have at every Northern Indian Restaurant. This dish was so fine and smooth and of course flavourful! The cheese was mild with a soft, gooey, warm texture. Everything just melts in your mouth! Generous amounts of cheese! Huge chunks of em. =D

Prawn Masala. Yet another unique spiced dish with loads of prawns. =D I had most of the prawns cause my parents were watching their cholesterol level. =D! The above 2 dishes came with a basket of naan each. 4 servings of naan. 2 garlic naans and 2 plain naans. I was quite disappointed with their garlic naan. I could hardly taste the garlic! ><

Walked around BV 2 before settling for desserts and coffee at Delicious. Chocolicious Sundae and Iced Coffee. <3
